Pursuing the philosophy of sustainable tourism and creating local encounters is our utmost concern…amongst others we offer a complete social security of the staff, constant trainings, and the use of as many local products as possible and engage our guests in reducing energy and waste. Surely, we are aware of the standards that are required in these difficult times after the corona crisis and we try to do everything that you feel safe and comfortable. The pension consists of eight simple, but charming rooms on two floors all equipped with en-suite bathrooms. 1st floor: Morna: Big room with a double bed and a balcony facing the ocean front Coladeira: TWIN room with balcony facing the ocean front Batuku: Double room (can be extended to a triple room) facing the calmer side of the building Funana: TWIN room to the side of the building with balcony Zuk: Our smallest room for low budget travelers. Room with double bed facing the backyard 2nd floor (superior rooms): Tabanka, Colá and Mazurka: Double rooms with big balconies facing the ocean front and equipped with relaxation chairs The prices include VAT but exclude the Tourist Tax, which is 276 escudos (about 2.50 EUR), per person, per night, up to a maximum of 10 consecutive days, for guests over 16 years old. The breakfast area and the restaurant are located on the ground floor. Our chef Gabi cooks traditional Cape Verdean food, but always tries to use the local products a bit differently. There is a fixed menu, however also some daily specials can be found on the board. Mostly on Tuesdays and Fridays we have live music by local people. This is the time, where other locals join us for a famous grogue or pontche and the atmosphere is really special. Carla (general manager): Having lived a bit abroad and due to being eager to learn something new every day I almost speak fluent German, some English and French and I am available for all your general questions.
